A recurring clean covers the cottage as a whole: kitchens and baths reset, floors throughout, interior glass, and the surfaces that gather dust between visits. Seaside cottages pack more surface into less floor than the houses inland, so a visit here is measured in rooms and fittings rather than in square feet.
Screened porches are living space in these houses, not outdoor space, so they are cleaned as part of the interior — furniture wiped down, floor swept and washed, screens and door tracks cleared of the sand that blows through them.
Kitchens and baths take the bulk of the visit. Painted cabinetry and open shelving mean more edges and fronts to wipe than a house with flat modern doors, and that is where the time goes.

Painted wood shows every hand mark. Door frames, stair rails, porch doors and the wall beside the stairs are on the standing scope here, because on white painted trim a month of marks is obvious from across the room.
Interior glass gets its own pass, front porch to back. Salt carries in on the wind this close to the beach and leaves a haze on the inside of the glass that reads as dirty light rather than as dirt.
The upstairs rooms in a Seaside cottage are usually the ones under the roof, so they hold heat and dust between visits. They get opened, aired and worked through on every clean rather than on a deep-clean cycle.

Most of these cottages have no driveway. The crew stages off the street and carries in, which sets the arrival window more than the size of the house does, and it is why we book Seaside visits in blocks by street rather than scattered across a day.

Bedrooms, bathrooms and the number of porches set the price here more than floor area, because a small cottage with three porches and two baths carries more work than its footprint suggests.
Frequency is the other lever. A cottage cleaned on a standing rotation holds its condition and each visit is shorter; one opened up twice a season needs a deep clean first. Some properties need an in-person look before we can quote, payment is due at the time of service, and we are bonded and insured.
