A recurring clean covers the whole house: kitchens and baths reset, floors throughout, interior glass, and the surfaces that hold dust between visits. Seagrove is split between older cottages under the oaks and newer builds beside them, and the two need the visit scoped differently.
The oaks are the local variable. Leaf litter, pollen and the fine grit that comes with them get walked in year round, so entries, thresholds and the first stretch of floor inside each door are cleaned every time.
Kitchens and baths take the bulk of the visit. In the older cottages that means painted cabinetry and open shelves with more fronts to work; in the new builds it means more glass, more stone and larger islands.
In an older cottage the detail work is trim, built-ins and rails — the ledges that hold dust where you can see them. In a new build it is the glass, the stone surfaces and the fittings, which show smears rather than dust.
Both get the fittings above head height on the standing scope: fans, lights and the tops of door frames. Those are the surfaces nobody reaches between deep cleans, and they are the first thing visible when the afternoon light comes through the west side of the house.
Rooms that were not used since the last visit are opened, aired, dusted and checked. Under a heavy oak canopy a closed room stays damp longer than it would in the open, so it is on the list whether it was slept in or not.
An older cottage and a new build the same size do not need the same rotation. We set the interval on the house rather than on the calendar, and we say which of the two we are pricing when we quote.
Owners generally run a heavier clean before they arrive and lighter visits between stays. We hold the same crew on the property and work to a key or code so nobody has to meet us at the door.
Anything we find that needs the owner's attention is photographed and sent the same day. Property management duties beyond the clean carry an additional charge and are agreed in advance.
Bedrooms and bathrooms set the baseline, and the age of the house moves it. An older cottage with painted trim and built-ins takes longer per bedroom than a new build with flat doors and open floors, even where the two measure the same.
Frequency is the other half. A house on a standing schedule holds its condition and each visit is shorter; one opened a few times a year needs a deep clean first. Some properties need an in-person look before we can quote, payment is due at the time of service, and we are bonded and insured.
